What's the story?
In Grandma's attic, your shy little girl finds a sparkly purple cape. Every time she does something brave — raising her hand in class, trying the tallest slide, standing up for a friend — the cape glows a little brighter. And when it finally shines like the sun, she realizes the power was never in the cape: it was in her all along.
How is the book personalized?
Send us your child's name and a clear photo of their face. We turn the photo into an illustrated character who appears on every page, and print their name on the cover and throughout the story. You'll get a PDF of the full book within 24 hours of ordering to review with us. Nothing goes to print until you approve it.

Brave, at her size
For a little girl, bravery isn't fighting monsters — it's raising her hand in front of the class, or saying “stop” when a friend is being teased. That's why the story is built on moments she knows from her own day. And when one of them comes up for real, she'll have something to remember: a glowing cape, and a heart that's stronger than she thinks.

The cape helps, but she's the hero
The ending is on purpose: we don't want your daughter thinking she needs something magic to be brave. The book starts with the cape and ends with her. It's the simple message a shy child needs most: the power is in you.

Questions about “The Brave Superhero”
My daughter isn't shy — is this book still for her?
Yes. The story is about everyday bravery, and every child has moments when they need to try something new. Shyness is just where the story starts, not a requirement for reading it.
What kind of photo do you need?
A clear photo of the face in natural light is all it takes — a phone photo is perfect. Avoid dark photos or ones where the face is turned to the side. If the photo won't work, we'll tell you and ask for another before we start.
Can I add a dedication on the first page?
Yes. Write us the dedication you'd like — a line or a paragraph — and we'll print it on the first page in elegant type. It's the page parents come back to years later.
What language is the book in?
English — short, warm sentences made for reading aloud, with your child's name on the cover and throughout the story. You'll see the cover in the free preview, and the whole book in the proof before we print.
What if I don't love the book?
We don't print anything until you've seen the digital proof and approved it. And if your printed book arrives with a printing defect, we'll reprint and ship it again for free.
