For the kid who never takes off the cape
The whole city went dark. He lit it back up with kindness.
Every kid dreams of a cape and a superpower. In this book, your child gets both — and discovers that the real power doesn't come from the cape but from the heart: every kind thing they do makes the cape glow a little brighter. It's a story packed with action that teaches kindness without a lecture.

What's the story?
One stormy night, every light in the city goes out. Then your child discovers a secret: each time he does something kind, his cape glows brighter. He carries the groceries for an elderly neighbor, rescues a kitten stuck in a drainpipe, and cheers up a friend who's crying — and with every good deed another window lights up, until the whole city is shining again. By the end of the night, he knows that a real superpower starts with a kind heart.
How is the book personalized?
Send us your child's name and a clear photo of their face. We turn the photo into an illustrated character who appears on every page, and print their name on the cover and throughout the story. You'll get a PDF of the full book within 24 hours of ordering to review with us. Nothing goes to print until you approve it.

A superpower they can use tomorrow
Your child can't fly over the city, but they can carry a bag for Grandma or comfort a sad friend. That's what makes this story stick after the book is closed: the heroics are small things any kid can do. The next time they help someone, you might hear them say their cape just lit up.

A hero who looks just like them
We draw your child from their photo, with their own face, in a red cape, a little mask and a gold star on the chest. When they see themselves flying over the city on every page, the book becomes theirs, not some other hero's. That's what has them asking for it again and again.

Questions about “Superhero of the City”
Is the dark, stormy night too scary for little ones?
Not at all. The storm is just how the story begins — the whole book is about bringing the light back to the city. The dark is simply where your child's cape gets to shine.
What kind of photo do you need?
A clear photo of the face in natural light is all it takes — a phone photo is perfect. Avoid dark photos or ones where the face is turned to the side. If the photo won't work, we'll tell you and ask for another before we start.
Can I add a dedication on the first page?
Yes. Write us the dedication you'd like — a line or a paragraph — and we'll print it on the first page in elegant type. It's the page parents come back to years later.
What language is the book in?
English — short, warm sentences made for reading aloud, with your child's name on the cover and throughout the story. You'll see the cover in the free preview, and the whole book in the proof before we print.
What if I don't love the book?
We don't print anything until you've seen the digital proof and approved it. And if your printed book arrives with a printing defect, we'll reprint and ship it again for free.
