For the big brother, before he becomes one
Someone new is coming home. His place isn't going anywhere.
A new baby is the biggest change a child goes through in the early years, and most of what we tell them about it comes too late. This book is meant to be read before the birth: it explains what's about to happen, gives the big brother a clear job, and reassures him with the one sentence he needs to hear more than any other.

What's the story?
Your son notices that something at home is changing: a room is being rearranged, a bag is being packed, Mom's belly is getting bigger. The book walks with him through these weeks and explains what's happening in words he understands. Then it gives him a real role — the first to hold the baby, the first to call the baby by name, the first voice the newborn knows. And it ends by saying it plainly: your place didn't get any smaller. Our home just got bigger.
How is the book personalized?
Send us your child's name and a clear photo of their face. We turn the photo into an illustrated character who appears on every page, and print their name on the cover and throughout the story. You'll get a PDF of the full book within 24 hours of ordering to review with us. Nothing goes to print until you approve it.

Read it before the birth, not after
Once the baby arrives, a big brother is busy feeling, not understanding. The weeks before the birth are the real window: he's curious rather than jealous, and ready to be given a role. The best results parents have shared with us came from families who read it between the seventh and ninth months of pregnancy.

A gift from the baby to the big brother
A small tradition that always works: the book reaches the big brother “from the baby” on his first visit to the hospital. That way the new baby isn't the one who stole the spotlight — they're the one who gave him his very first gift. And we'll gift-wrap it for you if you ask.

Questions about “You're Going to Be a Big Brother”
We haven't picked the baby's name yet.
No problem. We can leave the name out and simply say “your little brother” or “your little sister,” or wait for your choice before we print — you decide when you review the digital proof.
We're expecting twins.
We'll adapt the text and illustrations for two babies. Just mention it in your order notes.
What kind of photo do you need?
A clear photo of the face in natural light is all it takes — a phone photo is perfect. Avoid dark photos or ones where the face is turned to the side. If the photo won't work, we'll tell you and ask for another before we start.
Can I add a dedication on the first page?
Yes. Write us the dedication you'd like — a line or a paragraph — and we'll print it on the first page in elegant type. It's the page parents come back to years later.
What language is the book in?
English — short, warm sentences made for reading aloud, with your child's name on the cover and throughout the story. You'll see the cover in the free preview, and the whole book in the proof before we print.
What if I don't love the book?
We don't print anything until you've seen the digital proof and approved it. And if your printed book arrives with a printing defect, we'll reprint and ship it again for free.
