A tough milestone, told as a gentle story
We didn't take it from her. She gave it away.
In most homes, giving up the pacifier is a battle. This book turns it into a story: the pacifier travels somewhere younger children need it, and your daughter is the one who sends it off. Lots of parents have told us that three nights of reading did what weeks of trying couldn't.

What's the story?
Your daughter discovers there are children in the world even smaller than she is — and that her pacifier could travel to them. She packs it a little bag, leaves it in a spot you've agreed on together, and waves goodbye. In the morning she finds a small gift in its place, along with a promise that she's a big girl now. The story never makes her feel she's losing something. It makes her feel generous, and that's the whole secret.
How is the book personalized?
Send us your child's name and a clear photo of their face. We turn the photo into an illustrated character who appears on every page, and print their name on the cover and throughout the story. You'll get a PDF of the full book within 24 hours of ordering to review with us. Nothing goes to print until you approve it.

Why “goodbye by giving” works
At this age, a child doesn't understand “You're too big for a pacifier.” But they understand perfectly “Someone else needs it more than you do.” Turning a loss into an act of giving hands them a role instead of taking something away — an approach early-childhood behavior specialists have recommended for decades. The book follows that thread from the first page to the last.

Read it three nights before the big night
At the back of the book is a three-night plan for parents: what to read, what to say, and when to make the switch. No lectures, no nagging — just three short steps that families before you have tried. The book is the tool. You're the ones who use it.

Questions about “Bye-Bye, Pacifier”
It's for my son, not my daughter — is there a boys' version?
Yes, with a boy character and colors to match. Choose boy or girl when you personalize, and the title and illustrations change accordingly.
What kind of photo do you need?
A clear photo of the face in natural light is all it takes — a phone photo is perfect. Avoid dark photos or ones where the face is turned to the side. If the photo won't work, we'll tell you and ask for another before we start.
Can I add a dedication on the first page?
Yes. Write us the dedication you'd like — a line or a paragraph — and we'll print it on the first page in elegant type. It's the page parents come back to years later.
What language is the book in?
English — short, warm sentences made for reading aloud, with your child's name on the cover and throughout the story. You'll see the cover in the free preview, and the whole book in the proof before we print.
What if I don't love the book?
We don't print anything until you've seen the digital proof and approved it. And if your printed book arrives with a printing defect, we'll reprint and ship it again for free.
