What's the story?
On the day of the big soccer game, your son pulls on his number 10 shirt with one dream in mind: to score every single goal. The game kicks off, the other team pulls ahead, and everyone starts to worry. Then, at the key moment, he spots a friend who has never scored standing in front of the goal — and passes him the ball instead of shooting. The ball hits the net, the whole team runs to celebrate together, and your son learns that the best players are the ones who make everyone around them shine.
How is the book personalized?
Send us your child's name and a clear photo of their face. We turn the photo into an illustrated character who appears on every page, and print their name on the cover and throughout the story. When he sees himself in number 10
A kid who sleeps with a soccer ball next to his bed knows exactly what it means to be the star. This book gives him that moment: his name on the cover, his number 10 shirt, a crowd cheering in the stands. It's a birthday present he opens to find himself the hero of the match.

Team spirit without the lecture
The book never tells your son to share. Instead, it lets him live the moment he chooses to pass, and see the joy on his friend's face. That lands deeper than any advice: success feels better when it's shared. It's a great read before practice, or after a tough game.

Questions about “Star of the Team”
My son isn't on a team yet — is this still a good fit?
Yes. The story is more about team spirit and sharing the joy than the rules of the game, so it works just as well for a kid who kicks a ball around the backyard as for one who plays in a league. It might even be what gets him excited to join one.
What kind of photo do you need?
A clear photo of the face in natural light is all it takes — a phone photo is perfect. Avoid dark photos or ones where the face is turned to the side. If the photo won't work, we'll tell you and ask for another before we start.
Can I add a dedication on the first page?
Yes. Write us the dedication you'd like — a line or a paragraph — and we'll print it on the first page in elegant type. It's the page parents come back to years later.
What language is the book in?
English — short, warm sentences made for reading aloud, with your child's name on the cover and throughout the story. You'll see the cover in the free preview, and the whole book in the proof before we print.
What if I don't love the book?
We don't print anything until you've seen the digital proof and approved it. And if your printed book arrives with a printing defect, we'll reprint and ship it again for free.
